The Demise of the Rule of Law
At some point in our lifetimes, the rule of law has been destroyed. 'Twas a slow process by administrations of both political parties and by federal, state and local politicians. Law is now a wet, floppy, slippery thing that no one can get his hands around. Definitions are flexible as overcooked pasta and no law applies to everyone. Politicians seem to make sure most laws don't apply to them. No one really knows which laws apply to him, except that any law can apply if a crooked judge wants it to. And, they're all crooked.
