In Drugs We Trust

I have to wonder why the pharma firms ever advertise. I guess it's the FDA that requires them to describe in minute detail everything bad that can happen if one takes a particular medication, but when you actually listen to what's said in the ad, well, it just scares the shit outa me! Thinking about moving the tv to the bathroom to keep from soiling the rest of the house!

These drug companies advertise incessantly, and the list of bodily disasters that can occur as a result of taking any one of these medications makes one wonder whether suffering with the disease isn't the better way to go.
