Teddy's Dilemma

Much as I'm (snif) upset about Senator Kennedy's illness, and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy (wait! he is one of America's worst enemies), I just have to ask.......

To which of the countries that offer universal health care will Senator Kennedy go for care and therapy in his current health crisis?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Warm regards,

Col. Hogan

Sympathy- it's in the dictionary between 'shit' and 'syphilis'

I have a great deal of dislike for Ted Kennedy and what he stands for, what he's done for/to America; however, he is also a human being and deserves our compassion regardless of all other issues.

TF,

I can't agree with you on this. When an individual wreaks as much pain and damage as has Kennedy, he gets no sympathy from me. None.

I could call it karma, except I don't believe in karma. What I think it might be is his own body rebelling against a life that has been lived to gain power over others, and to use that power to cause them harm and pain.

Anyone else who drowned a woman, whether accidentally or on purpose, would have been arrested and convicted of manslaughter and served some prison time.

The truly amazing thing is that the people of Taxachussets continue for decades to elect this misfit to the Senate.

Your right, this isn't karma, or it would have happened long ago, not after a long life of public service, good times, and every luxury that illegal booze money can buy.

I'm not gleeful but, really, I don't care. As the kids say, See Ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!

One can only hope that one reaps what is sown and that Teddy will spend eternity in an uncomfortably warm place.

TWC,

A good one--and fitting the occasion.

I thing the occasion of Kennedy's being let off the hook for his involvement in the death of the Kopechne woman, was the occasion that took away any respect I had for that which was once the greatest legal system ever devised.

Subsequent selective prosecution of the wealthy and connected has not helped a whit.

Cuba or Canada, decisions, decisions, where's Michael Moore when you need him, the useless parasite.

Please don't send him here, our glorious healthcare system is already groaning and sagging under its current load.
